Restoring a Firefox Profile - Manual

If you are doing this tutorial I can only assume that you are recovering your Firefox Profile that you have previously backed up (manually) with my previous tutorial. This tutorial will show you how to restore your firefox profile back to its previous state.

Important! Before starting this tutorial there are two things you need to do:
1. You MUST close Firefox, if you have it open.
2. Make sure you know where your (Backed up Profile) is.

Step One

Click 'Start' and then select 'Run'
or
Hold down the windows key and press 'r'.

Step Two

Type the following into the run command box
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Then Click 'OK'

Step Three

Now, in the Profiles window you need to delete your old profile
They one you copied in the previous tutorial!
To do this Right Click on the Profile and Select 'Delete'.

Step Four

Now, you need to find your backed up firefox profile, which if you followed my tutorial will be on your desktop.
Right Click the 'Profile' and select 'Copy'

Step Five

Back in the profile window, Right Click and Select 'Paste'

Step Six

The Firefox Profile should now be back within the Profile window, as below.

Step Seven

Close the 'Profile Window'.

Well Done!

Your Firefox Profile is now restored, all you are left to do now is open Firefox and everything will be the way it was at the time you backed up.
